J. LLOYD SNELL January 21, 1921 - November 16, 2011 Dad passed away peacefully, with family at bedside, at Tyndall House in Selkirk, Manitoba on November 16, 2011. Dad was born in Argyle, January 21, 1921. He was almost 91 years old. Dad is predeceased by his parents Tom and Barbara Snell, brother Gordon, sister Kathleen, and daughter Linda. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 63 ¾ years, Marion; sister Isobel, sisters-in-law, Ev and Joyce, sons Bob, Ken (Francine), Russell (Laura), daughters Tracy (Todd), Bev (Jim) and grandchildren Shelly, David, Amanda, Mark, Nadine, William, Joseph, and man's best friend, Pal. Dad had been active in farming, and then served in the Second World War as a radar mechanic in England, North Africa, Italy and France. His memoirs were published and are also on the Brandon Air Museum: Lloyd Snell Remembers. He worked as an instrument mechanic with CAE in British Columbia and Bristol (Magellan) - Stony Mountain, until retirement. Travel, hunting, gardening, crafting, winemaking, 4-H, nature, woodworking, and emailing friends worldwide took up retirement. Cremation and immediate interment have taken place.
