JOHN JOSEPH HOBLEY John passed away suddenly at his home in Gull Lake, MB at the age of 85. He was born in Winnipeg and is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Helen. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Connie and brother Bill. His is survived by his daughter Marcella (Clarence), grandsons; John (Kathy), Todd (Michelle) and Mark (Denys), great-grand-children; Crystal, Rayne, Eric and Devin, great-great-grandchildren; Walker and Owen as well as his sisters Mary, Dorthy and June. He also leaves to mourn his passing many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was proud to be a printer and worked primarily at universal printers and later at Jostens of Canada. John was a prankster with a great sense of humour and lived life to the fullest. He had a deep love for Gull Lake and family. He was known to many as the mayor of Gull Lake, he was a church helper and the candyman , his other big love was the South Beach Casino. A Special thank you to Jill and Craig Young, and the Orums for being there when we needed them. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Stead, MB. A prayer service will be held at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB on Sunday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Stead, MB on Monday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. with Father James Gray presiding.
