TILLIE (THECLA) YANISIW (nee BOYKO) December 25, 1919 - November 16, 2011 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Tillie Yanisiw, after a sudden stroke at the age of 91 on November 16, 2011. Tillie was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 2005. Tillie will be lovingly remembered by her children Joe, Mary (Ted), Lillian, Shirley, Diana, William (Barb), Elaine (Brian), Sharon (Fern), 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, who was born on her husband's 90th birthday. Tillie was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Mary Boyko, siblings Bill, Anne, Nellie, Jennie, Tina, Peter, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Pat and great-grandson Jeremy. Tillie was born on December 25, 1919 in Skylake. Tillie and Stanley were married in 1940 and farmed in Chatfield until 1945. They moved to Stanley's bush camp in Falcon Lake, then in 1952 they bought property in East Braintree. She was a unique lady whose strength never faltered even after many hardships in her life. Mom treasured her family and looked forward to weekend visits, going to bingo, needlepoint and embroidery. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of what they have, and she certainly did! Prayers will take place on Monday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m., at Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m., at the Reynolds Community Centre, Prawda, MB. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Riverside Cemetery. My children, the time for me is truly passed. I have loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take. Love one another for my sake! Vichnaya Pamyat!
