EDNA REDISKY The family of Edna Redisky (Koper) announce her passing in Cranbrook on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the age of 89 years. Edna was born in East Kildonan, Manitoba, on September 22, 1922, and was the last member of her family. Edna lived in the Red Lake area for 72 years. She lived on McKenzie Island for 50 years and was the postmistress on McKenzie for many years. She was an avid curler and won numerous bonspiels. She also enjoyed playing cards and socializing in the Legion Villa with her friends. Edna was a member of the Legion for many years. Edna was the beloved mother of one daughter, Diane (Bob) Taylor of Cranbrook; and one son, Jim (Susan) Redisky of Campbell River, BC. She also leaves her grandchildren, Grant Taylor of Cranbrook and Greg (Karen) Taylor of Didsbury, AB; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt and Brenna Taylor, and Justin Turner. Edna is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudy; two sons, Denis and Denny; as well as many family members in Winnipeg. Edna will be taken home to Red Lake at a later date. Edna was very much loved and will be sorely missed.
