JAMES DOUGLAS (DOUG) WONG On Sunday, November 20, 2011, Doug passed away at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home at the age of 63 years. Left to forever cherish Doug's memory are his mother May Wong of Winnipeg; birth mother Evelyn Hont and sister Judy of Brandon; daughters Sue-Lee and Mae-Lee of Winnipeg; friend and relative Ken Wong; cousins David Wong, Marlene Wong, Allan Wong, Jimmy Wong; Aunt Patricia Wong and her sons Glen, Michael, Henry and William; as well as special friends Joanne Deslauriers and Roy and Julie Kading. He was predeceased by his father Wong Yip (Jim Wong). Doug was born in Winnipeg on October 29, 1948. He grew up in Kenora, but moved back to Winnipeg when he was quite young. He was self employed as a barber / hairstylist for many years in Winnipeg. On Monday, November 28, 2011, Doug's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. Interment will take place at a later date at Lake of the Woods, Doug's childhood love.
