Anne was born on January 7, 1915 on the family farm at Sundown, MB, the oldest of nine children. She grew up on the farm, working with her family. On May 28, 1938 she married the love of her life John Bozowy. Together they worked on farms in the Emerson and Stonewall areas and then back to the Emerson area in the forties. In 1953, together they bought their dream farm east of Stony Mountain. John and Anne worked the farm as a mixed/dairy farm operation until 2004, when they officially retired and sold the farm. They were to remain on the farm with the aid of Home Care workers, until John's ,passing in 2007. In May 2007 Anne's wish to retire to Stonewall came about and she spent two wonderful years in Stonewall Place. Then in October 2009 Anne moved to Tudor Home in Selkirk remaining there until her passing. She enjoyed her two years at Tudor and received the greatest loving care from the staff who were with her at her time of passing. Anne was an active member of the Ridgeville Ladies Aid when they lived in Emerson. When they moved to Stony Mountain Anne became an active member of the Stony Mountain United Church, sang in the choir and supported the ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Rebeccas in Stonewall. Anne loved her Bingo, visiting and having visits from family and friends. She made the best homemade bread and if visiting with her and John you never left without a loaf to take home. Of course, Baba made the best perogies and over the years became known as baba to many people in the area. She worked hard on the farm, loved her cats, was one of the first women to get her driver's licence, loved gardening, pickling the fruits of the seasons and doing up preserves. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favourite charity or organization in her name. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at MacKenzie's Funeral Chapel in Stonewall, viewing at 10:30 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow the service at the Stonewall Legion, and interment will follow at the Stony Mountain Cemetery.
