Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNA TURPIN August 22, 1918 - November 25, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Lorna Turpin announces her passing on November 25, 2011. She is survived by her sons, David (Mona), and Terry (Gill), her stepdaughters Brenda (Don), and Nancy (Jim); grandchildren Graham (Angie), Neal (Taran), Trevor, Adam, Michael, Joelle, and Terri-Anne, two great-grandchildren, Quazell and Kai, and her brother Keith (Ev). Lorna was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Clara, first husband Elmer, second husband Art and three sisters Lorraine, Barbara, and Thelma. Lorna was born in Minnesota, and the family relocated to Warren, Manitoba in 1935. In 1938, Lorna married Elmer Cunningham. After Elmer's death in 1961, Lorna began a lengthy career in retail with The Bay and Eaton's which she thoroughly enjoyed and for which she exhibited great aptitude. In 1966 Lorna married Arthur Turpin and they were together for 42 years, until his death in 2008. During their retirement they enjoyed traveling, camping, and visiting family. During this time Lorna was able to enjoy her passion for crafts and baking. Lorna will be remembered for her generosity and kindness, her love and devotion to her family, and a wonderful sense of humour that carried her through most situations and endeared her to everyone she met. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West.
