ROBERT FONTAINE It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and friend on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. A husband of 32 years to his adored Annette and loving father to: Daniel, Geneviève, André and Julie; all will miss him deeply. Rob will also be lovingly remembered by his mother Mary; brothers Jean (Karen), Georges (Bunny); sister Annette (Gerry); and in-laws: Gracia Fouillard, Nola (Harv), Louise and Yvan (Suzy). Rob was born on December 15, 1958 to parents Georges and Mary Fontaine. Rob lived in Winnipeg and followed honourably in the footsteps of his grandfather and father by continuing the family business, Fontaine Electric Ltd. He took great pride in leading Fontaine Electric Ltd. into its upcoming 100th year anniversary. One of his greatest life achievements was the establishment of XL Alarms Ltd. Rob cherished time spent with his family and friends and always welcomed them into his life with respect and admiration. He often spoke fondly of coaching both his sons in hockey and being his girls' biggest supporter at their ball games. He was happiest when he was helping out family and friends, fishing, golfing, assigning himself to the next new project and most of all time spent at the family cottage in Falcon Lake. In keeping with Rob's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Timothy Parish, 135 John Forsyth Road. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis of Canada, 2221 Younge Street, Suite 601, Toronto, ON M4S 2B4 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3B 9Z9.
