Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD GEORGE CLARK October 22, 1939 - November 22, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ron on November 22, 2011, at the Riverview Health Centre, after an eight year battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Janet; his daughters Debbie (Alex) and Lisa (Scott); and his pride and joy, his grandchildren Melissa (Dave), Andrea (Chris), Darren and Owen. Also by many extended family members and friends. Ron spent his working career with Canada Safeway as a manager in many city stores. When not at work he always had a project he was working on. Building the cottage at the lake was one of his greatest joys. The time spent there with family and friends every summer created such wonderful memories for all of us. Ron was the best husband, father and grandfather and we were so blessed to have been his family. He will be with us in our hearts forever. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So He wrapped His arms around you And whispered, Come to me You didn't deserve what you went through And so He gave you rest And when we saw you sleeping So peaceful and free from pain We could not wish you back To suffer that again. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. If friends wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

My belated condolences to the Clark family. We usually leave Winnipeg and head south at the beginning of November each year. I first met Ron when I was hired part time at 558, Main & Luxton, store in February 1962. Ron was working under produce manager Joe Bowman as second man. Within a few months, he had switched over to grocery and was getting relief assistant manager training under store manager, Eddie Barbour. Ron rose up thru the ranks and I had several meetings with him when he manager of 711, River & Osborne. I had last run into Ron one afternoon when I was having coffee in the Westwood area. I will always remember Ron as being a very sincere, straight forward person. It is unfortunate that you could not enjoy more of your golden years with the family. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Colin Dederick (collague) on: Oct 31, 2021
