GARY JAMES WARDELL Gary James Wardell, beloved husband and father, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 15, at the age of 67 in the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his wife Janice; children Russell (Jennifer Newton) and Patricia (John Cook); and grandchildren Charlie and Caleigh. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Maude (Milne), his brothers Robert and Alvin, and sister Shirley. Born February 12, 1944 in Winnipeg, MB he was raised in the Riverview neighbourhood. Married July 18, 1970 Gary and Jan raised their family in the River Heights community. Gary was very proud of his 28 years spent as an employee of Eaton's Canada working as both a commission sales person and sales manager; first at the Warehouse location, then the newly built St. Vital location, and finally at the Polo Park location. Upon retirement, Gary and Jan fulfilled a long time dream of living at the beach near Grand Marais, MB. Gary enjoyed his fishing and golfing but most of all he enjoyed shooting the breeze with his good friends. Gary also enjoyed escaping the frigid Manitoba winters and spending time with his daughter's family in Austin, Texas. Gary's greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grand-children. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at the Canad-Inns Polo Park, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, a contribution to a charity of your choosing in Gary's memory would be preferred.
