YVONNE SADOWY (nee WEBB) May 1, 1946 - November 12, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Yvonne on November 12, 2011 at Concordia Hospital. She was predeceased by her mother Muriel Webb and brother John. She is survived by her loving husband Steve and son Chad (Juli), sister Jackie Stark (Bob), plus Steve's sisters and brothers, and a number of nieces and nephews. Yvonne was born in Winnipeg May 1, 1946. She attended Isaac Brock and Churchill High Schools. Yvonne was a very independent, straight forward speaking (a spade is a spade) and honest spirit, with a very kind and generous heart with a keen sense of humour. She was employed at Manitoba Telephone, Perth's and then spent many years at the Health Sciences Centre as a top billing clerk for both the Centre and Group of Psychiatrists. Yvonne's life centered around her family. She was a homebody, a movie buff, and a very thrifty person with a great interest and resource of financial information as it pertained to personal taxes, finances and benefits. As a young adult she loved to dance. This activity is what brought her and Steve together. She had a great love and compassion for animals. Her dogs Shelley and Cindy were constant companions on her daily walks. She also enjoyed the peace and quiet of the family cottage at Hillside Beach. Although not fond of travel, she enjoyed a trip to Expo '86 in Vancouver with Steve and Chad. She was very proud of her family and cared deeply for them as well as the extended family of relatives always enquiring about their lives. She is now free of pain for which we are all very grateful. Goodbye dear Wife, Mother, Sister and Aunt. Rest in peace. In accordance to Yvonne's wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made, if desired, to CancerCare Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society in Yvonne's memory.
