GLENDA LOUISE REED It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenda Reed on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Glenda is survived by her daughter Brenda (McInnes), son Jeff, granddaughter Ashley and grandsons Chad and Bradley; sister Eileen Schapf; nephew Bob Schapf (Janice); nieces Debbie Blackshaw (Derek) and Sharon Schapf. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel Griffin (1968) and Margaret Thompson (2006). Glenda was born in Ochre River, Manitoba on July 5, 1939. She worked for C.I.B.C. early in her life, then again from 1975 to the late 1980s, and then at National Pagette until the late 1990s when she retired. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital on the 5th and 6th floor for their care during Glenda's last days. A celebration of Glenda's life was held on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3 or CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
