Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (MACKER) MYKYTYN February 27, 1923 - November 29, 2011 Surrounded by family, Macker passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 29, 2011 at the age of 88. Macker is survived by his loving wife Rose, of 67 years. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Helen (Terry), her children Cheryl (John) and children Blair, Mark, Nicole, Bill (Colleen) and daughter Kaitlin; sister-in-law Mary and her son Ron; numerous nieces and nephews and their families in Vancouver. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Bill. Macker was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He served in the R.C.A.F. for three years and returned home to work for Canada Post retiring after 40 years. He remained active in the Heritage Club. His passions outside of work were curling, golfing and woodworking. He was a member of St. Ivan Suchavsky Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 2 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3 at St. Ivan Suchavsky Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 939 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery.
