GWEN (GWENDOLYN) H. TURNER (nee YOUNG) It is with great sorrow that we announce Gwen (Mom, Nanna) left us on November 30, 2011. Born on June 20, 1933 to Charles and Hannah Young. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 58 years, Gary, son Garth, daughter April (Tom), grandchildren Tara and Jeremy, great-grandchildren Bella and Roman, her siblings Barbara C., Joan C., John Y., and many nieces and nephews, as well as her special friend David Palz and the Palz family. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Ted and sister Marilyn D. Gwen began nurturing at an early age caring for her siblings. This continued through her life always caring for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff of the Concordia Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba. Gwen hoped that her friends and loved ones would understand and respect her wishes that no services be held. At her request she will be cremated and placed beside her friend Brenda Palz. Those wishing to honour her memory may do so by donating to CancerCare Manitoba.
