Frances was born in Prince Albert, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Laurie Johnstone. Frances is survived by her only child, her son, the light of her life, Doug; daughter-in-law, Bev, and grandsons, Derek and Brad. Frances spent most of her life residing in Winnipeg. From 1956 to 1963 they owned the General Motors Dealership in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. She then worked as the administrator accountant at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and retired in 1982 after 25 years. To all who knew her, golf was her passion. She was invited to join the women's golf tour in the 1950s, but declined to start a family. In her retirement years she enjoyed travelling throughout Canada, US, Britain and Europe. She moved to Saskatoon in 1994 to be closer to Doug and his family. A Private Memorial Service will be held. Cremation interment to be held at a later date in Winnipeg.
