DOROTHY JOHNSON Sadly, but peacefully, our Mom, Dorothy, passed away in her 100th year on December 4, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Bert, of 46 years in 1987; brothers, Gerald, Ernie, Lloyd, Jim; and sisters, Phyllis, Audrey, Maureen and her twin sister Ivy. She is survived by her sister Delta and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Gary (Beryl) of Nanaimo, Diane (Barry) of Calgary; grandchildren, Jeff, Kirk (Anna) of Winnipeg, Nicole of Nanaimo, Michelle and Steven (Donna Marie) of Calgary; and great-grandchildren, Dylan of Nanaimo, Ava and Issak of Winnipeg as well as Garrett and Rylen of Calgary. Mom enjoyed many social activities that involved being with people. She had been an active member of the United Church, enjoyed curling, bowling, cards and all types of games. She was a caring and devoted wife and Mother. Her family was most important to her. Mom had a love of life, great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. She enjoyed a full life for 99 years. Pallbearers are Steven Cann, Jeff Johnson, Kirk Johnson, Ed Griffith and Bob Manson. The family would like to extend their thanks to St. Boniface Hospital and the Metropolitan Kiwanis for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
