EWALD MUELLER On Monday, December 5, 2011 Ewald Mueller beloved husband of the late Frieda Mueller passed away at the Misericordia Health Center at the age of 81. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. A longer obituary will follow. EWALD MUELLER Peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2011 Ewald Mueller passed away at the age of 81. Left to cherish his memory is his son Ulrich (Karen) and their two children Leah (Laurent) and Erika (Illya) his daughter Marion (David) and their two children Matthew and Zoe. He is also survived by his brothers Edmund (Evelyn), Harry (Elaine), Reinhold (Thelma) and his sisters Maggie (Gerhard), Lilly (Terry) and Alice (Jack). His wife Frieda, his brothers Albert and Erwin and his sister Emmi predeceased him. Ewald was born in Poland on June 27, 1930. He immigrated to Canada in April of 1951. Ewald (Pap) worked at Quality Bedding when he came to Winnipeg and then went to work for the City of Winnipeg and worked there until he retired in 2003. Ewald was trained in shoe repair and also worked with his brother-in-law Gerhard and his sister Maggie at their shoe store on Ellice Avenue. He was always fixing anything leather. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren (Leah, Erika, Matthew and Zoe) and visiting with friends and family. His family loved him and he will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
