STEVE MARTINS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and friend. Steve passed peacefully in his sleep during the early hours of Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the age of 31. He was an amazing young man, full of life and courage. He fought his illness with dignity and never lost his sense of humour. Steve was an inspiration to all of those who knew him. Steve made many friends at Pan Am Pool as a life guard/instructor. He had a great love of travel, poetry and music. Steve is survived by his loving parents, Arthur and Fernanda; his brothers, Rodger (Nicole) and Charles; his Vavo, uncles, aunts, Godparents and cousins. Steve was predeceased by Vav Cordeiro, Vav and Vavo Martins, and Aunt Adelaide Raposo. The family would like to thank all the doctors at CancerCare Manitoba, the nurses at GD6 and the entire Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Kevin Bettens on Friday, December 9 at the same location, with interment at Thomson In the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Steve, you will be loved and missed by all of us...forever in our hearts... THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
