DONALD BARRY PETERS (BIG GRASSY) (51 years old) February 13, 1960 - November 30, 2011 Sadly we are announcing the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. Big Grassy leaves behind his three sons, Murray Peters, Barry Peters Junior, Brook Peters; and the mother of his children, Lynn Billy. He leaves behind his brother Murray; and five sisters, Beverley (Harvey), Corinne, Glenda, Diana (James) and Crystal Peters (Russell) and numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. The viewing will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Mckenzie Funeral Home in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on Royal Road - 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Donald Barry Peters will be taken to Long Plain First Nation Spirit Lodge for a two day wake. Funeral service at the Long Plain First Nation Spirit Lodge to be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Feast to follow after burial. Donald will be laid to rest in the Long Plain First Nation Reserve next to his grandparents, mother and other family members. We would like to thank the CancerCare Institute of British Columbia.
