BETTY KIEDYK (nee PERCY) 1936 - 2011 Peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2011 Betty passed away at Poseidon Care Centre, at the age of 75 years. Betty will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn her passing her son Barry; daughter Donna (Shawn); brothers Bill (Shirley), Bob; sisters Mae (Bob), Dorothy, Ethel (Don), Margaret (Grant); numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael November 15, 2011, mother Emily in 1973, and her father Edward in 1979. On April 20, 1936 Betty was born in Pine River. Here she received her early education and later she completed her Grade 12 by correspondence. She worked as a nurse's assistant and later graduated as a LPN in 1955. Betty enjoyed her nursing in Portage La Prairie, Stonewall, Whitemouth and Deer Lodge all of which she found very rewarding. In 1958 Betty met Michael and they were married on July 11, 1959. She was a dedicated wife, mother and nurse. She enjoyed reading, shopping and square dancing. Betty was a stay at home mom until her son and daughter completed high school. Her love for nursing drew her back to St. Joseph's Personal Care Home until her retirement. In their retirement years they enjoyed California, Venezuela, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona and Caribbean cruises. In compliance with Betty's wishes there will be no Funeral Service. Special thanks are extended to the nurses and staff at Poseidon Care Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. May God forever keep you both in His tender loving care.
