Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHE REVEREND DOUGLAS EMERY MOORE The Reverend Douglas Emery Moore, 86, former Canadian Baptist missionary and ordained minister, passed away November 14, 2011 in Marion, Indiana, USA. He was born in April, 1925, in Ottawa, Ontario, elder son of the late Charles and Daisy (Roe) Moore. He received divinity and history degrees from McMaster University and served briefly in the RCAF. He married Florence Erickson of Southey, Regina at Trinity Baptist Church, here in Winnipeg. They served as missionaries in Bolivia for four years. On returning to Canada, Douglas appeared on Winnipeg's CBC-TV devotional programs and worked at the Knowles School for Boys. He also pastored in Saskatchewan. Later immigrating to the United States, he pastored churches in North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan before retiring to Florida in 1990. He was eventually diagnosed with Parkinson's. Douglas and Florence moved to the Midwest to be closer to children. Condolences may be sent to his family at 4820 S. Colonial Oaks Drive, Marion, IN 46953 USA.
