NANCY EDITH BJARNASON The family of Nancy Bjarnason mourns her passing on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born on September 7, 1947 in Surrey, BC and was the oldest of seven children. She spent her growing up years in Coquitlam. She married Gerald Bjarnason on July 20, 1968 and together they raised four children; Derek, Todd, Nikki and Craig. Nancy served Manitoba and Ontario Homecare for many years. She will be forever remembered for her cheerfulness and kindness towards others. She truly cared about all those in her life and was never slow to lend a hand when it was needed. Nancy had an amazing ability to create and has left behind many tokens of her love including quilts, mittens and moccasins, sweaters, placemats and potholders. She thoroughly loved the outdoors and created many beautiful memories for her family while camping, swimming, being at the cabin and on the boat. Nancy leaves to mourn, her husband Gerald, children Derek (Joanne), Todd, Nikki (Ben) and Craig (Melanie), her grandchildren, Nolan, Zena, Olivia, Elliot, Abigail and Kristen; also her mother Thelma Wuychuk, sisters and brother. She was predeceased by her father-in-law Stefan Bjarnason, and her father Willis Mastin. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Manitoba CancerCare, Box 2248, Stn.
