FORBES McTAVISH CAMPBELL It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Forbes McTavish Campbell, 67, on December 3, 2011 at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs. His loving family was by his side as he slipped away to begin his next journey. He was born February 12, 1944 to Charles and Kitty Campbell of Norway House, MB. Forbes fought his illness with the same tremendous courage, strength and passion by which he lived his life. He had a booming laugh that filled the rooms and hearts of his loved ones. He prided himself as a captivating story teller, not letting mere facts cloud a good tale. His sense of humour was unstoppable, and his love for teasing was insatiable. His greatest pleasures were his family, hunting, fishing, diving, travelling and music. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved partner Lorissa Lubimiv (Tiffany and Gregory), his children, James, Robert (Jayme) and Lauren (Bill) and his most precious grandchildren Lilly-pad, Kaila and Chloe. He also leaves his brothers George, Ed, Don, Tom and his sisters Verna, Kathleen and Frances and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. It was the wish of Forbes that he be brought back to Norway House Cree Nation to have his final resting place beside his mother and father. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 11 at St. Marks Anglican Church, Norway House, MB. Forbes, you are loved for always, our hearts are empty without you. You will be missed and remembered by us all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Forbes to Pacific Meso Center, 10780 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 101, Los Angeles California, 90225 We would like to thank Dr. Cameron and his Staff for all the wonderful care that they provided as he fought his great battle.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I knew and became friends with Forbes back in about 2000. This great man helped me tremendously when my life took a turn for the better. He placed a star in my heart and I have thought of him often. Because of him, I have learned to pay it forward. Heaven definitely has a good angel. - Posted by: Laura Elliott (Rempel) (friend) on: Dec 05, 2015
