JEAN HAYS March 2, 1950 - December 6, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear daughter, sister and friend Jean. Many good memories of Jean will be cherished by her parents Joseph and Kathleen; siblings Gerry (Doreen), John, Judy (John Bodi), Kathleen (Anne Belanger) and Jim; as well as by her nieces Patricia, Suzanne and Darla. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Luella. Jean was a beautiful, kind, generous and compassionate woman with an independent spirit that was the core of her strength. She had a wonderful, dry sense of humour that we all will miss. Jean had a special place in her heart for children. She was like a second mom to her good friend Laurie's son Dexter. She loved watching him and her grand-nieces and nephews, Steven, Michael, Sarah, Vanessa, Samantha, Maddie, Kaden and Maeve grow up. At Jean's request, there will be a private gathering to remember her with love and thankfulness for having had her in our lives. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the 5th floor, Units 1 and 2 at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their care of Jean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kids Help Phone.
