ALBERT HERMAN (BIRDIE) VAN DYK March 23, 1949 - December 1, 2011 It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Albert Herman (Birdie) van Dyk in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Albert is lovingly remembered by his wife Pam (nee Daniels), son Terry (Caroline), mother Gerardina van Dyk, sister Gerri (Caroline and Michael) and brother Corrie (Heather). Albert was predeceased by his father Cornelis van Dyk and nephews Richard and Corrie van Dyk Jr. Albert was a child of the sixties, a free spirited rebel, an avid reader and a lover of nature and animals. We will always love you Birdie. The smallest sprouts show there is really no death, And if ever there was it led forward life, and does not wait at the end to arrest it, And ceased the moment life appeared.
