CAROLE MASULLO On Friday, December 9, 2011, Carole died at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 56 years. A longer obituary notice will follow.

CAROLE MASULLO-MIRLYCOURTOIS (née Séguin) Born in Hull, Quebec on May 28, 1955 to Jean-Guy (deceased) and Thérèse and am the oldest of five; my siblings are André, José, Chantal, Jean-Pierre. I have a niece Sandra, a nephew Nathan and a great nephew Xavier. My career as an Air Canada flight attendant spanned from 1974 until my retirement in August 2003. I was blessed to work with the best crews of all, the Winnipeg flight attendants. In March 1982, I met my beloved Sal. We travelled the world, enjoyed life and started a business called Pasta and More in Moray Village Shopping Centre. The hole left in my heart after Sal's death was partly mended when Alan introduced me to the Rainbow Harmony Project choir. I really enjoyed the practices with my fellow choir members, the music we sang and all the concerts we gave. In 2005 I met Bernard and Mirlycourtois restaurant became my home. It was really gratifying to become the restaurant's manager and to see it grow, to have the pleasure of working with great staff, to meet wonderful customers and suppliers and develop close and lasting friendships with so many of them. In March 2009, our world was devastated when I was diagnosed with ALS. We received tremendous support from friends and family. Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for being there for us. I also thank Bernard and his culinary friends for starting the Masullo-Mirlycourtois Friends for life ALS fundraiser dinner in my honour. Hopefully, with the help of all our friends, it can become an annual event in my memory. Bernard and I share special and fond memories of the trips we took, the many gatherings with friends and family and the special Chaine des Rotisseurs association dinners with its wonderful members. In the winter of 2011, a 4 legged baby entered our lives. What joy you bring us Ranger. The house is filled with laughter at your antics. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at Grant Avenue with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H. presiding. Thank you to the MND/ALS team at Deer Lodge under the direction of Dr. Alan Casey, to Diana Rasmussen of the ALS Society, to OT Carol Scott, to Homecare case co-ordinator Sue Erickson, to the Palliative nurses, and to my angels from Comforts of Home Care. Your compassion, gentleness and caring assistance helped us deal with this horrible disease. To be surrounded by people who love you at the end of your life is a blessing and I thank God for all those blessings called friends and family. Instead of flowers, a donation to the ALS Society of Manitoba would be the best token of love you could give Bernard and I. Carole
