JAKE STOESZ It is with great sadness, but in appreciation of a life well lived, that the family announces the passing of Jake at St. Boniface Hospital on December 9, 2011, at the age of 89 years young. Left to forever cherish Dad's memory is his loving wife, Eileen, of 60 years; daughter, Darlene (Harry); sons, Ron (Karen), Rick (Diana) and Jeff (Leanne); grandchildren, Alison (Reid), Melissa, (Jason), Kailey (Ryan), Kristi (Marc), Erin, Steven (Erin), Dayna and Tara; and great-grandchildren Tucker and Piper. Dad was born on August 5, 1922. He met Mom in 1950, and they were married on November 4, 1951. He worked at Versatile for 27 years and retired at the age of 65. Dad's life revolved around family and friends. There was nothing Dad loved more than going on a family camping trip or playing games. In retirement, Dad and Mom spent many years traveling across Canada and wintering in Arizona. Dad was a wonderful man and we will always love him. A celebration of Jake's life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of 5E at St. Boniface for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
