LILLIAN MASON EVANS (nee WHITE) April 20, 1917 - December 10, 2011 Mum passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour early Saturday at Oakview Place. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1998, her parents, E. Russell and Eleanor, in 1974, and her siblings, Elmer, Jean, Marion and Phoebe. Lillian will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Janet Stewart, Nancy Guille (Ron) and Jim Evans (Patti), her nine grandchildren, Kelly, Tracy, Ryan, Matthew, Heidi, Devon, Cheryl, Colin and Jordan and 11 great-grandchildren. Mum lived in her home at 204 Collegiate St. until 2001, when she moved to Kiwanis Courts to enjoy meals prepared for her and lots of special activities. In February 2010, it was necessary to move Mum into Oakview Place. We thank all of the conscientious and dedicated staff at both Kiwanis and Oakview who cared for Mum in the last 10 years. Mum loved the Lord Jesus and enjoyed fellowship at St. James Gospel Chapel for most of her life. Private family interment. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Assiniboia-Charleswood Community Church, 760 Charleswood Rd. Reception to follow.
