AGNES MACHAN Surrounded by her family, Agnes passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Agnes will be greatly missed by her husband of 54 years, Al; as well as daughters Sandra, Allison (Merlin), grandchildren Dayna (Brian), Cory, Jared (Angela), sister-in-law Elda and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her parents Ida and Joseph Beselt, as well as her four brothers and three sisters. Mom was born and raised on the family farm near Minitonas, MB, and spent most of her adult life in Winnipeg; working at MTS for 21 years. Mom was a quiet, kind and loving woman who cared deeply for others. She loved gardening, going to the lake, cooking great meals for her family, and doing various crafts, mostly as gifts. Selfless to the end, Mom has contributed her body to the the University of Manitoba for the advancement of medicine through anatomical study. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to contribute to the Anatomical Research Fund, or the Grace Hospital Foundation. (www.gracehospital.ca.) The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Grace Hospital, 3North, for the exceptional care and kindness shown to our entire family. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. We are all Blessed to have been a part of Mom's life.
