Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH LORNE DREGER January 24, 1929 - December 12, 2011 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Ken Dreger. Although he had been struggling with health for the past two years he passed away peacefully and with dignity surrounded by his family. Ken will be dearly missed by his loving wife Myrna; his sons Gerald (and Donna), Les (and Nancy), Ron (and Julia), Barry (and Sherry); ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Ken is also survived by his siblings Alan, Doreen, Violet, Elaine, Bob, Larry and their spouses. He was predeceased by his parents August and Olga Dreger and infant sister Beatrice. Ken worked for Borger's Construction and Porex on construction projects in the Winnipeg area, Churchill, Lethbridge and Calgary, as an equipment operator and a mechanic. While he was building the roads we use today, he was also building his legacy. Ken married Myrna Collier on August 6, 1953. One of Ken's passions was watching his sons and grandsons play hockey. From hockey, work and neighbours he built many friendships. Ken was always willing to extend a helping hand and many benefited from his advice and skills. We would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire Department, Ambulance Service and the Emergency and Intensive Care Staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate assistance. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers please donate to: Lutheran Urban Ministry, 641 St. Matthew's, Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0G6.
