Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK CARLISLE July 24, 1939 - December 14, 2011 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Jack was born in Winnipeg and was predeceased by his loving daughter, Susan. He was a wonderful husband to Gulnar; great father to Kevin (wife Suzanne); amazing grandfather to Madison and Jessica; caring brother to Bill (wife Ellen), Ronnie (wife Iris), Jimmy (wife Lorry) and Iris; brother-in-law to Juby and Russell; nephew to Zaher (wife Parin and daughters Farah, Salima and fiancé Zaid), son-in-law to Rashida and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Amongst his many accomplishments, Jack was awarded the BC Community Achievement Award for outstanding volunteer work in the community. Jack was an exceptional humanitarian and his legacy will continue to shine. To pay respects, the family will be at Ismaili Lions Gate Headquarters Jamatkhana at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m., seating starts at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Ismaili Burnaby Lake Jamatkhana. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted in Jack's honour to the VGH UBC Hospital Foundation - Prostate Cancer at worldclasshealthcare.ca.
