JACK SCHNOOR It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Schnoor on December 13, 2011, after a battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Rose, and will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy, sons Ian (Amy Ballon) and Steven, his granddaughters Jessie, Kyra and Lily, sister Roberta Monks and in-laws Ed and Simone Rotstein. Jack was born on May 23, 1940 in Winnipeg. He was passionate about the city and was very excited about all of the recent developments, including the return of the Jets. He was an avid Bomber fan and would happily chat for hours about the team's ups and downs. Jack spent his career - over 50 years - working as a property manager. He began working at Globe Agencies then moved to Park Realty which later became Winpark Dorchester Properties. Jack obtained his CPM designation and took great pride in his work, where he was known as a skillful problem solver. He also greatly enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as going for a long walk, sitting in the sun with a good book and having a nice meal. He adored his three granddaughters and loved spending time with them whenever he could. As the family photographer, he would take dozens of photos whenever they were together. In recent months, Jack was extremely grateful to all of the friends, family members and medical professionals who provided their help and support. He felt fortunate to have so many kind, loving people in his life. Funeral services were held on December 15 at Etz Chayim Synagogue. Pall bearers were David Bazak, Syd Cohan, Reuben Potash, Louis Rodkin, Ed Rotstein, and Barry Weber. If desired, donations may be made in Jack's memory to the charity of your choice.
