Mom has traded in her beautiful body for a pair of much deserved wings after a valiant fight with dignity and grace. Thank-you for all prayers and healings as her passing was peaceful and beautiful and her daughter was blessedly able to be at her side. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 37 years, William Timmers; her loving daughters, Darlene Guenther, Kathleen Mireault (Fred Gibbins) and Marcy Lester. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Crystal Dow (Kyle), Nick Smith, Jennie Lester, Jason Lester (Katie); and great-grandchildren, Sky-Lynne Vercrussey, Katherine Dow, Tanner Dow. Her brother Archie Belisle; sisters, Rita Hoy and Yvonne Tetreault (Lou); and sisters-in-law, Joan Belisle, Janet Blaine, Hanny Bohn (Han), Will Perez (Simon), Trudy Hensdra (Thomas) and Irene Lester; and brothers-in-law, Pete Timmers (Karin), Ko Timmers (Ank), Case Timmers (Tiny) and Allan Lester. She was predeceased by her late husband of 22 years, Harry Bolton Lester; parents, Anna and Henry Belisle; her brothers, Marcien Belisle, Phillip Belisle; brother-in-law Charles Hoy; and sisters-in-law, Jeannette Belisle and Nancy Lester, as well as numerous beloved members of the Belisle, Timmers and Lester clans which are too numerous to mention. Aggie was a feisty outgoing woman who was the Bell of the Ball . She at one time loved entertaining with friends and family, bowling, dancing and travelling. She loved a good debate, always spoke her mind and was sure to have the last word. She was a strong, amazing, loving woman with a heart of gold and would do anything for those she loved. Mom was an independent woman working at Eaton's when she met and married Harry Lester in 1948. Choosing to have a family over pursing her love of journalism. They have three daughters and lost two sons, one shortly after birth and a late miscarriage. Mom is known for her awesome cooking and homemade soups that she shared generously with all who visited. Mom enjoyed camping, fishing and the many family gatherings as a young family with the Lester and Belisle clans until Dad's passing on July 4, 1970; at which time Mom's courage, fortitude and grace shone forth and she was an inspiration to her daughters. She returned to work and supported her children working at Woolco in the jewellry department and was cashier at Payfair Foods in Transcona. At the urging of her sisters-in-law (you know who you are), Mom reluctantly went to the 40 Plus Club for a singles dance in the spring of 1974. There she met William Timmers and it was love at first sight for they then married in the fall of the same year on November 10. William is from the Netherlands, which inspired them to travel to Europe and other places abroad, many times which Aggie loved. Aggie was a jovial, memorable person and not easily forgotten by those who met her. There are many fond memories to cherish by her loved ones, keeping Aggie's spirit alive forever. The family would like to thank the team in the MICU at Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Kuegle and the amazing staff at the Concordia Hospital who treated Mom with great medical care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. In Mom's memory, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
