CONSTANTE PRIETO DIAZ October 9, 1930 - December 7, 2011 Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, our father, Constante Prieto Diaz's long battle with Cancer ended and he passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marina Lopez Diaz. Leaving to mourn his passing are his sons, Constantino Lopez Diaz (Paula) and Jose Manuel Lopez Diaz (Sharon); his daughter Marina Diaz (David); his five grandchildren, Justin, Natasha, Joshua, Jacob and Kyra; and lastly his new great-grandson Kayden. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Barb Hues and Dr. Houston at CancerCare Manitoba, the staff in the chemo lab at CancerCare Manitoba, Harriett, his Palliative care nurse, his homecare workers, and to his housekeeper Shelley Smith. You all kept him smiling, laughing and dreaming of the day he would be with his wife again. We would also like to thank our father's dear friends who continued to call on him to see how he was doing. He appreciated your friendship and support. A private celebration of Constante's life was held on Tuesday, December 13 at Glen Lawn Funeral Chapel.
