JOHN DONALD MCCOSHAM September 14, 1910 - December 14, 2011 101 years and 3 months John peacefully passed away with his family by his side. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife Elizabeth of 44 years, children Audrey (Dave), Johnny (Rose), grandchildren Bonnie (Kyle), Michelle (Randy), Theresa. GREAT-grandchildren, Matthew, Candace, Chantel, Jason, Branden, Samantha, all his nieces, nephews, and his loyal friend Heinz. John ran the Lucky Dollar Store on the corner of Roseberry and Ness as a butcher for 34 years. He provided a service not only selling groceries and meats but serving the community with friendship, generosity and much more. He was a Royal Canadian Legion member for over 50 years serving overseas in the Second World War. He was an active member of St. Andrews United Church. A devoted Christian right to the end. We want to thank all the staff at River East Personal Care Home for making John's life comfortable in the end. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favourite charity of choice in his memory. Celebration of John's life will be held Monday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. followed by a luncheon and interment will proceed to Brookside Cemetery off Notre Dame.
