JEAN (TOZELAND) MATTICK (nee SIRETT) Jean passed away peacefully on December 12, 2011 with family by her side. She was predeceased by her first husband Jack Tozeland (1989), her second husband Alexander Mattick (2011) and her brother Ross Sirett. Left to mourn her passage is her daughter Heather Powell (George); grandchildren: Kim Powell (Ted), Margo Powell (Dwayne); her son John Tozeland (Judy), grandchildren: Tami Tozeland (Tom), Sage Tozeland; her stepdaughter Kathleen Wilkinson (Ken), their son Brian Wilkinson; stepdaughter-in-law Laureen Mattick and her daughter Lindsey Davidson (Michael); five great-grandchildren; her sister Cristabel Kendy, her brother Harry Sirett (Joan). Jean was raised in Brighton ON on a farm. She moved to Winnipeg in 1944 where she met and married Jack Tozeland and raised her family there. She and Jack wintered in Texas after their retirement and summered at their cottage at Falcon Lake of which there are many fond memories. She worked as a volunteer both in Winnipeg and in Texas. Jean married Al Mattick in 1992 and her family expanded to include Al's children and grandchildren. Jean was an avid bridge player, she loved square dancing, needlework and visiting with friends. A private family celebration of her life took place on December 16, 2011. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to a charity of your choice.
