Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGOSTINO GUZZI It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Agostino Guzzi on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 92 years. Agostino will be sadly missed by daughter Giovanna. He is also survived by his brothers; Felice and Angelo and their families, sisters; Rosina (Italy) and Francesca (Argentina) and their families. Sisters-in-law Kay Pallone, Frances Siciliano (Egidio), Anna Guzzi, Giuseppina Guzzi and their families. He is predeceased his loving wife Rose Guzzi, by his son Frank; daughter-in-law Karen Luks, parents, Francesco and Giovanna Guzzi; Brothers Carlo and Luigi, brothers-in-law Pete Falvo, Pat Ianiero, Domenico Pallone. Dad was born in Miglierina, Catanzaro, Italy on March 31, 1919 and later moved to Canada in 1954. Agostino was married to his wife for 52 years. He worked as a furrier at D. Cohen and Trans Canada Ltd. until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends and always had a great sense of humour. He also had a sharp critical mind and it was present until the end. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20 at Holy Rosary Parish Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano the Celebrant. Viewing will be one half hour prior to Mass. Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Agostino's memory to the United Way of Winnipeg, 3rd floor, 5 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 2T4.
