Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE WEIR (nee WALKER) July 18, 1919 - December 17, 2011 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Louise Weir passed away at 92 years of age. Louise was predeceased by her husband Jim and her four sisters Emily, Lynne, Wynn and Marion. She leaves to mourn her passing one son Rodney (Noreen), three grandsons Jim (Joelene), David (Liette), Joey (Nicole) and six great-grandchildren Jordan, Jayden, Emily, Devon, Riley and Jeremie. Louise will also be missed by her sister-in-law Betty Armstrong and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was born in Tupper, MB. During the war she moved to Toronto to work in a factory. There she met the love of her life Jim Weir. After the war they were married in 1945 and moved back to Manitoba. They spent the next 32 years farming in the Ste. Agathe area. Louise enjoyed a multitude of activities, but especially enjoyed gardening, baking, crafts, travelling in her retirement years, and most of all spending time with her family. Funeral Service will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to the staff at Niverville Heritage Centre, Steinbach Bethesda Hospital and St. Pierre Hospital who made Louise's final journey comfortable and peaceful.
