VICTOR EPP On Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Carman Memorial Hospital Vic Epp, beloved husband of Elise, died at the age of 78. Vic was born on September 7, 1933 to Henry and Susan Epp of Elm Creek, Manitoba. He was a member of the Springstein Mennonite Church. He married Elise Dyck on October 29, 1966. Together they farmed for over 40 years, first on rented land, then near Oakville and finally taking over the Epp homestead near Elm Creek. Vic was involved at Springstein Church and with many philanthropic Christian organizations throughout the years. Vic loved his family, his church and his friends both new and old. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, stories, great conversations and his genuine interest in the lives of everyone he met. Vic's love of travel was a sign of his enjoyment of adventure, learning and worldwide current events. Besides Elise, he leaves to mourn brother Harry (Helen) Epp, sister Irma Epp, sister Martha (Murray) Wiens, brother Richard (Karen) Epp, sister-in-law Helga (Robert) Wilson, sister-in-law Marianne (Leonard) Mann, sister-in-law Irmgard (Edward) Harder, brother-in-law John (Ruth) Dyck, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at Springstein Mennonite Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg and prior to the service. Donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 5K9.
