ZORA KOMAC March 26, 1930 - December 18, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Zora, at the age of 81 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Alenka (Carl) and Alex (Maria), her grandchildren Cathy (Dean), Pamela (Cory), Michael (Mary), Andrew and Christopher, and by her great-grandchildren Alyssa, Nicholas, Owen, Jamie, Sadie, and Chase; as well as her siblings Maria (Rico), Stanka, Antonia all from Italy, Andrea (Lucy) of Australia, and Viktoria of Slovenia. Also mourning her loss are many nieces and nephews in Australia and Europe. Zora was predeceased by her husband Boris in 1975. Zora was born on March 26, 1930 in Bovec, Slovenia. She is one of six children born to Franc and Alojzija Komac. She arrived in Canada in April 1960, with her husband and children, and was employed for many years in the garment industry. Family was the most important part of her life, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, and traveling. Her favourite pastime was tending to her flower and vegetable garden. She was generous, loyal, sincere, and loving to all around her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 95 MacDonald, with viewing commencing at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zora's name to a charity of your choice. 586-8044
