MILDRED ARLIE CARBERT (EYRES) 1926 - 2011 Arlie went to be with her Lord on December 15, 2011. Arlie was born in Winnipeg, November 12, 1926, youngest daughter of Herbert and Katherine Eyres. Her younger years were spent in North Battleford, SK. The family returned to Winnipeg in 1942 where she graduated from Kelvin High School. The majority of her working years were spent as a Medical Stenographer in different hospitals and organizations. Arlie was a long time member of Calvary Temple where she sang in choir and served in the Sunday School. On August 20, 1960 Arlie married Garth Carbert. Arlie and Garth were blessed to have spent 49 happy years together. They enjoyed over 25 years of retirement together, enabling them to travel extensively. They enjoyed an active social life with family members and many friends made through their church involvement. Arlie was predeceased by her stepson Ronald Carbert, August 8, 1999 and her loving husband Garth Carbert, February 28, 2009. She is survived by her two daughters-in-law, Carol Carbert and Darlene Dagdick; four grandchildren, Kathleen, Christopher, Erin and Caitlin, and two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Luke. A special thank you to her niece, Frankie Hester of West Vancouver who since the passing of Garth made bi-annual visits to keep Arlie company. Funeral service will be held at Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow immediately after the service.
