Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUZANNA THIESSEN 1924 - 2011 Suzanna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 87 years. Suzanna was the last of 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Over her life time she resided in Southern Manitoba, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Calgary. She also spent several years in Ottawa working for the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. While residing in Vancouver, Suzanna spent more than 30 years caring for her younger sister Betty. Later she moved to Calgary for her retirement years where she was active volunteering with The Calgary Seniors Council, Children's Cottage and numerous clubs and charities. A private interment will take place in Winnipeg at a later date.
