ORWIN LYNTEEN (LYN) CUFF (nee JORDAN) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Lynteen passed away on December 17, 2011. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 35 years, Cyril; her daughters, Dawn (Adam) Tocci, Teresa (Reg) Bruno and Cammy-Lynn Cuff; her grandchildren, Christina, Angela and Frankie Tocci; Dominic and Jordan Bruno; her sisters, Brenda (Fred) Kosowan, Nola Lewis, Barbara Jordan (Kevin Bagnell). Also grieving are numerous nieces, nephews and godcihldren, as well as family members within the Jordan, Robinson, Taylor, Downs, and Cuff families. Lynteen was predeceased by her parents, Solomon and Camolete Jordan; her siblings Greydon Jordan and Charmaine Luke; brother-in-law Grafton Lewis and honourary son, Wendell Edwards. The first 20 years of Lynteen's life were spent on the island of Barbados, where she was born on September 11, 1941. In November 1961, she immigrated to Canada. Having little family here she formed long lasting friendships with the Gaskins, Wynnes, Browns, Edwards, Wilbon Greaves and the Pfeil families. Lynteen worked in several different jobs until her final position as a paging and information clerk at Health Sciences Centre, retiring in May 2008, after 30 years of service. She enjoyed attending social functions, hosting family gatherings and travelling. Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow and internment of ashes will be in Barbados, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. We would like to thank all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, that helped with Lynteen's care.
