MONIQUE (PARENT) HAUN February 25, 1944 - December 21, 2011 At the Riverview Health Centre, with my loving sister Gisèle by my side, I peacefully and willingly went towards my Creator's eternal and blissful light, to continue on the spiritual journey that God planned for me from the beginning. As you all know, I didn't give up without a good fight. However, my curiosity to see the other side got the best of me. To greet me were my father and mother, Félix and Adeline (Fillion) Parent. I am now in a place of peace and joy with my Lord. I leave my everlasting love and memories to my three beautiful daughters, Patti (Anthony) Roos, Teresa (Greg) Duff, Debbie Haun and partner Brad, and their father Jack Haun. I also leave my eternal love to my eight precious grandchildren: Connor, Korben, Jamie, Jaydis, Talon, Kyle, Keith and Gracie. To my sister Gisèle and brother-in-law Gilles Collette, who lifted me up when I was down then gave me wings so I could fly, I say thank-you. Always there for me through the good and bad, you were my rock. To their three very special children, Denis (Nicole), Lise (Lee), Jean-Paul (Vicki) and their children, Krystèle, Mireille, Danielle, Julie, Keegan and Katie, I dearly loved you all. To all my other close and dear family members: aunts, uncles and cousins, I leave with the fondest of memories. To all my very dear and loving friends and colleagues, especially Colete and Joanne, I bid you au revoir with much love. I will be there to greet you all when the time comes. To the staff at CancerCare and Riverview Health Centre, thank you for your care and compassion. My parting words of wisdom to you are: Live your life to the fullest, Love each other unconditionally, Dance like you've never danced before. Don't forget to take your daily dose of kindness at the start of each day. My celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Society. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550

  • To my wonderful mother who guided me through my life to live, love and cherish everything you do. To live by the rule " there is a reason for everything" even thou things don't always work out the way we want them to there is always a silver lining to learn from. Always look for the positive and not the negative cause it will only harbor ill feelings that don't need to be there. I will Love you forever and continue to make you proud. Until we meet again. P.S what colour did Grandpa Parent paint your walls and has Grandma made the matching drapes yet! Love you my sweetheart!! XoXo - Posted by: Patty Roos (Daughter) on: Dec 31, 2011

  • Dear Haun family, Your mom was a great source of inspiration to our family. She has been in our prayers since she was having trouble with her knees and retired from EJR. Even after that it was wonderful to catch up with her when she attended the dinner theatre our family performed in. She was always so encouraging and appreciative of all around her. We are saddened to hear of the end of this earthly journey, as she fought bravely to stay. We know she is in God's hands and surely heaven is a greater place with her presence. In our prayers, The Kist Family - Posted by: Kist Family (Family from EJR) on: Dec 29, 2011

  • My Dear Monique, Gone is my buddy, but everlasting are the memories. When I want to cry I think about the mischief we got into together, and tears are replaced with smiles. You were the BEST. I hope some day I can be as strong a woman as you were till the very end. Rest in peace, my friend. Until we meet again. Love You! - Posted by: Lynne Johannson (Friend) on: Dec 27, 2011

  • to a truly, true person, always finding something funny out of life. Your struggle is finally over. Now the fun really begins. I'm sure Monigue lived life by this motto: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughtly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride" Wishing you a wonderful new life. - Posted by: Dianne McShane (Coffee break friend at Ecole Norberry and the board office) on: Dec 25, 2011
