CHARLES JOSEPH FEMPEL Peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2011, Charles Fempel passed away at his home in Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 84 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne Fempel; son Glenn (Wendy) and their daughters, Ashley (Clayton) and Candice (Evan); son Wayne; daughter Dawna; brothers-in-law, Mitchell (Joyce) Brisky and Eddy Brisky; and nephews, Kenny (Lois) Brisky, Ritchie Brisky and Curtis (Diane) Brisky and their families. There will be no formal funeral at this time. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Charles' memory to Sunset Palliative Care, P.O. Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3B2. A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 857-4021 A message can be left in the on-line guest book at www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com

  • I am grand/grandson of Barbara Fempel *1857/1942 and was married to Lazar Stejić (1854-1933), who lived in Neudorf until 1900. Afterwards Thez lived in Pančevo, all now Serbia, until their death. Barbara had sister Maricika and brother Joseph. The fourth child of Joseph was Joschka, who emigrated with his wife to Canada. They had a son named Litka.
