SHIRLEY JOAN BROWN (nee SMITH) 1937 - 2011 It is with great sadness we announce, Shirley passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Concordia Hospital on December 25, 2011. Shirley was the beloved wife of Orien Brown and mother of sons, Gary, Laurie, and Robert Leeson; daughters, Bev, Robyn and Bunny; grandsons, Bobby and Chris; brothers, Jim (Brenda) Smith and Ken (Grace) Smith; sisters, Dorothy (Art) Nicoll, Barbara (Arne) Mykle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her mother and father, Peter and Gertrude Smith; sister Ruth Dickson and brother Leonard Smith. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held Monday, January 2, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. The family would like to thank Dr. Darcy Johnson and the nursing staff at 3NE at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Shirley we will love and cherish you, and you will live on in our hearts forever.
