Dearest Aunt Lynda. Wishing I had a chance to tell you how much I appreciated everything you did for me. Living with you and Uncle Bob was alot of fun. I can still hear Damien rumbling down the hall and slamming into the door. Our late night pizza chats are very missed. Hope you and mom aren't driving everyone crazy up there. Will see you, when I see you. Miss you and love you always, and thanks to all of those who submitted something. Your favorite nephew Scott - Posted by: Scott Barlow (nephew) on: May 01, 2013

You are still deeply missed!! There is not a day that has passed without you in my mind! I wish I had been a better niece to you...for that I am forever saddled. Your passing was unexpected and unclear, but after more than a year of reflection, I completely understand your death!! I am SORRY!! I will always love you and hold you close to my heart and even closer in my thoughts. - Posted by: Shannon (Aunty) on: Mar 19, 2013

Dearest Lynda, I was shocked to discover you had quietly left this earth on Boxing Day 2011. I am filled with regret that my numerous attempts to reach you by phone and mail since November did not work. I will miss you forever. It was a privilege to know you. The genuine qualities I saw in you were stellar. From the moment we met 23 years ago at Canadian Publishers, we became trusted friends. Your attention to detail and creativeness as you typeset my weekly food column was appreciated. We shared joys & sorrows, The Olive Garden, love of a Lockport hotdog, passion for creative cooking, Chinese food, the joy of pet ownership - you with a succession of birds, me with my dogs, world affairs, reading novels, writing, fashion - just being girls, and more. Now that your illness has stolen you from me, know that you will forever live in my heart. Rest in peace, my dear friend. A 1000 hugs!Jan - Posted by: Janet Nixdorf (She called me her best friend.) on: Feb 23, 2012

Linda and I were life long friends beginning when I was 6 and she was 5 and we lived next door to one another on Agnes Street in the West End. I spent many weekends at her mother's house on Burnel Street and at Greenway Store. In our younger days we went to grand beach and to the US with her mom and her mom's best friend Rita. We also babysat her sister Doreen's children when we were in our early teens. I lost touch with her and Gail when I got married and became busy with my own family but surprising recontacted a couple of years ago due to another funeral announcement. We spoke on the phone a few times but unfortunately didn't get together. I had been thinking a lot about Linda the last couple of weeks and made a promise to myself to call her once the hectic holiday season was over. I truly wish I'd followed through at the time. My condolences to all her extended family. Sincerely Liz Adams - Posted by: Liz Adams (nee Shirritt) (Long time friend) on: Jan 03, 2012

I'm so sorry to hear of LYNDA'S passing. Lynda & I were childhood friends from the late 1950's. We had some great times together. I also knew your Mom & Dad, Pat & Warren & was at their wedding in 1960. I tried to get together with Lynda over the past few years but it wasn't meant to be. She will always be in my heart and in my memory forever. Rest in peace dear friend. Your loving friend Gail. - Posted by: Gail Ashuk (friend) on: Jan 02, 2012
