PETER HOLOWATY December 4, 1931- December 29, 2011 Peacefully on December 29, 2011, Peter passed away surrounded by his family. Dad is survived by his wife Teena, of 54 years; his children Donna (John), Wayne (Catherine); grandchildren Steven, Chantel, Jennifer and Shelby; his sister Rosemarie (Barry); along with many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and his four legged great-grandchildren. Dad was predeceased by his infant son Michael, mother Anastasia (Monych), father Stephen, brothers Anthony, David, and sisters Emily and Doris. Dad was born in Polson, MB. After moving to Winnipeg he joined the Ukrainian National Youth Federation and attended their summer courses. Dad then joined the U.N.F. of St. Boniface and joined the choir (now known as O. Dad was a devoted member of St. Michael's Parish and held many positions within the church donating his time selflessly. Dad was also a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was honoured with the position of Deputy Grand Knight. Dad has been either a member or enjoyed participation in many different activities from 5 and 10 pin bowling to curling, golfing, fishing, as well as enjoying music. He had the opportunity to meet many people along the way and has cherished the lifelong friendships that have evolved over the years and have remained to this day. Since Dad's retirement in 1996 he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his time spent at Jessica Lake. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Middlechurch Personal Care Home.
