IVAN HARVEY FOSTER Peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Ivan Foster on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Middlechurch home of Winnipeg at the age of 84 years. Left to cherish Ivan's memory is his son Brian (Margaret) ; daughter Brenda Foster of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Mathew and Mike (Erica) Foster; great-grandson Benny; sisters, Della Atkin, Pearl (Jim) Ross; and brother Don (Gail) Foster of Glenboro, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Ed and Grace Foster; brother-in-law Sid Atkin; nephew, Darrel Foster; daughter-in-law Michele Foster. After growing up in Summerset, MB Ivan resided in Winnipeg. He worked his entire life for the Federal Government at Fort Osborn Barracks where he had a special friend, Mel Flake. They had many wood working projects together and caught the occasional Pickerel. He will also be missed by good friends Fran and Parm Jonasson Ivan's Funeral Service will be held at a later date in Swan Lake, MB. The family wishes to thank the staff of West 2 of Middlechurch Home and Nurse Helen of West 2. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ivan's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
