JOSEPH PETER (ALPHONSE) LESPERANCE On Friday, December 23, 2011, Mr. Joseph Peter (Alphonse) Lesperance, our father and papa passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C. He was predeceased by his wife, our mother and nana, Dorothy (Mickie) Lesperance, and his son-in-law, Raymond Eger. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Christine Parker, Michele Eger and Louise Lesperance; as well as his dear granddaughter, Vanessa Lesperance, who gave him so much peace in his final hours. He was born and raised in Winnipeg, where he worked as an immigration officer. He and his wife moved to Vancouver Island to spend their retirement years. He was an extraordinary man who lived life on his own terms. He aged gracefully, with dignity and remained mobile, sharp, and witty to the end. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at his request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Peter is going Home to join his beloved Mickie.
